StressMed
From Course Planning to a Growing Online Academy
How Wizcabin helped StressMed build an integrated online learning platform supporting 600+ learners across 21+ groups.
StressMed
Project Overview
StressMed delivers specialised education focused on stress and the challenges faced by first responders and other high-stress professionals. Its approach emphasises research-informed education, role-specific understanding, and making complex topics easier to understand.
To deliver this education online, StressMed needed more than a collection of digital courses. It needed a complete learning environment that brought together its website, interactive course content, learning management system, and learner-management workflows.
Wizcabin partnered with Jeff Sych and Malcolm McNeill to develop the StressMed academy from course analysis and planning through instructional design, eLearning development, LMS integration, and launch.
The result was an online learning operation that grew to support 600+ learners across 21+ groups within a year.

The Challenge: More Than Just Putting Courses Online
Developing online education involves several connected challenges. Learning content must be structured effectively, courses must provide an appropriate learning experience, and the platform must make it easy for learners to access their training.
For StressMed, there was an additional consideration: courses needed to be delivered through a group-based model, allowing multiple organisations to manage access for their own learners.
Three Key Academy Requirements
The solution needed to support both the educational experience and the practical work involved in delivering courses across multiple groups.
A structured learning experience
Translate course content into planned, accessible online learning.
An integrated platform
Bring the website, interactive courses, and LMS together.
Scalable learner management
Support group-based enrolment, instructor assignments, and learner-progress monitoring.
What We Achieved Together
Turned course content into a structured learning experience
We began with course analysis and planning to understand the content and organise it for online delivery.
Instructional design helped shape the learning experience before development began, providing a foundation for the four-course portfolio.
This planning stage connected the educational objectives with the structure and development of the online courses.
Developed interactive eLearning with Articulate Storyline
We developed interactive course content using Articulate Storyline, translating the planned learning experience into digital courses.
The focus was on creating a purposeful learning experience rather than simply transferring material onto screens.
Course analysis, instructional design, and development were treated as connected stages of the project, helping bring the planned learning experience into the finished courses.
Built the website and integrated LearnDash
We developed the website and integrated LearnDash to provide the infrastructure needed to deliver and manage the online courses.
The academy brought together the course portfolio and the systems required to manage learners, instructors, groups, and course access.
This meant the project extended beyond content development: it also established the operational structure needed to deliver the courses online.
Created a group-based course delivery model
One of the distinctive aspects of the StressMed project was its group-based approach to course delivery.
Rather than managing every learner independently, the LearnDash setup supported groups that could be associated with courses and managed through designated group leaders or instructors.
Prepared the academy for launch
We brought the website, course content, LMS configuration, and learner-management workflows together as a functioning online academy.
The project covered the process from initial analysis and planning through development, setup, and launch support.
This end-to-end approach helped ensure that course development and platform delivery were addressed as parts of the same project.
The Results
Within a year, StressMed’s online academy had grown to support more than 600 learners across 21+ groups.
The project combined a four-course portfolio with an integrated website and LearnDash LMS, including workflows for group management, enrolment, instructor responsibilities, and progress tracking.
