Medilife, one of Australia’s largest first aid training providers, offers an extensive range of safety and first aid public courses and on-site training programs across the New South Wales and Queensland areas. In addition to public courses, Medilife also conducts onsite corporate training across the whole of Australia and works with clients to ensure their learners are properly equipped with the knowledge to handle any workplace medical emergency.
Having been in operation since 1995, the company’s instructors have extensive experience in providing and delivering outstanding interactive courses and have expertise in developing and delivering environment or skill specific training courses. Medilfe already provides many courses to its learners through its own online platform. They already had created a lot of eLearning courses, but was looking for a solution to make their courses more engaging, interactive and device friendly.
Whilst Medilife’s in-house trainers had a good understanding of eLearning, a lack of design and development skills meant they had been dependent on external vendors to provide eLearning development. They had large number of courses developed already, but repeated dependence on external vendors for recreating those courses was a significant expenditure. To get started, Wizcabin’s eLearning support team provided an online session to familiarize the Medilife team with the platform’s functionality. In addition, they created a template and a sample course for the team to review. Within days, the team was able start working on the courses and once the first course was completed, the team used this as a template and started creating new courses without external help.
